Based on the
concept of 3R, that is ‘REDUCE, REUSE AND
RECYCLE’ the Waste Minimization Unit of
Environmental Health Division has been actively
promoting the practice of recycling of old
newspapers, drink cans and old corrugated
carton boxes. All the schools, major hotels,
petrol stations and most of the shopping
centers are actively participating in this
program. The objective is to reduce waste
from being disposed into the landfill thus
extending the life span of our valuable
land.
