City Boundary The Northern Part of Kuching City is administered by DBKU while the Southern Part is administered by MBKS. Now (1992-2000) Kuching City north area sized approximately 369.48 kilometer square while the Kuching City South area sized approximately 61.53 kilometer square. During the earlier commemoration of city status (1988-1991), the size of Kuching North is only 53.19 kilometer square, and Kuching South is only sized about 16.01 kilometer square. The state government subsequently decided to re-border Kuching area in order to improve the effectiveness of development program.    The population of Kuching City South approximately 133,600 thousand and approximately 143,500 population in Kuching City South. The number of property under Kuching City North is approximately 22,398 and 25,593 under Kuching City South. Other Kuching area which doesn't fall under Kuching North and South are being administered by Padawan Municipal Council (MPP).
